La Restinga

This small village have enough infrastructure to make your stay comfortable. There are many varied restaurants, but the specialty is of course fresh fish. Do not leave without trying the shrimp (“camarones”) and barnacles (“lapas”), the most typical! Just as wrinkled potatoes and mojo sauce. (“Papas arrugadas y mojo”)

There are a few bars on Avenida Maritima, a meeting point for divers to tell "war stories" in front of a fresh beer. Pizzeria, two supermarkets, kiosk ...

There is a little beach at the pier ideal for children and 10 minutes driving there is an idyllic creek called “Tacorón” where you can see the best sunsets.

La Restinga has the best weather on the island, the temperature ranges from 24ºC in summer and 18 º C in winter. Almost every day of the year the sun shines!

In La Restinga there are no hotels so accommodation is provided in apartment or pension.

El Hierro island

El Hierro was considered the western end of the World and the zero meridian was originaly here. It is the smallest of the Canary Islands, with just 273 km2.
